Hello i own a 92 aerostar 3.0l recently my abs light start to flash every time i turned my head lights on. Added to this problem is that at the same time my rear tail lights went out, my dash lights went out as well as when i turn my lights on my clock on the radio goes out. The light flashes either 16 or 15 times any ideas. Please help me if you can.
Also check both filaments to do this first put your headlights on and check to make sure both brake lamps are iluminated then turn them off.
Now have a friend apply the brake and check to make sure both brake lamps glow also.
This is a necessary because there are two seperate filaments in the bulb the brake filament blows out more often then the night filament because the brakes are applied more often.

Had the same thing happen to me... and it's your headlight switch/dimmer. Get a new one from the dealer, as well as a new wiring connector. Likely you'll open up the dash and find it toasted. I made the mistake of just replacing the harness connector, and within a week it was melted again, so do both. If you're decent at wiring, it's maybe a 2 hour job, most of that figuring out how to get the dash off
