help vacume device
On my 87 6.9 350 crew cab I have a vacum device located at the fuel pump area. It is not connected to a vacum sorce and the truck funtions ok? Its a standard 4 speed . What is the function of this Timming advance or idle speed? Is it neccesary? Help

Sounds like a vacuum control for a C6 automatic transmission if you mean by the injection pump.
Either the motor, injection pump, or the entire truck used to be hooked to an automatic transmission.
If you have a 4 speed it is not needed.
