cheap mods
I own a 94.5 7.3 psd and was wondering what ican do that is cheap to get alittle more performance out of it.I already shimed the pressure regulator and did not see much improvement.I heard that you can do something to your exhilator pedal can somebody explain.

Do the 10k mod or the Clamp. Way more power than the pedal mod would give you.
The 10k mod you might get away with running stock exhaust and no guages but the Clamp - guages and big exhaust required.

You put a resistor on your ICP sensor to trick it into think the injector pressure is low, so it kicks it up a little bit, giving you a little more fuel. It will "roughen" up your idle, but it does make a noticable difference.

Any increase in power with the 10k mod will be in lower rpms. I really don't notice any difference at higher speeds. It also advances your timing slightly which is the real reason you notice a difference. The higher pressure fires the injector harder, atomizing the fuel better making it more efficient(in theory). I think the 99 and up trucks get a better response to the 10k mod for some reason. I did notice last time I towed that if I turned my 10k on my egt's would drop about 75-100 deg's. Didn't gain any power though.
