Want to rebuild carb on my 82 F150 351w.....no ID tag on carb....It's a 2 barrel motorcraft....Is there any way I can fire out which model I have without the tag?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Feb-02 AT 12:36 PM (EST)]Look for an E2TE,E2UE or E3TE,E3UE type number on the air horn or carb body.
when you find it post it.

mil1ion, please explain this. Are you saying that there was 5 different 2bbl motorcraft carbs offered in 82? Even so, why would it take 5 different kits? Most of the kits I've seen will be for many years and variations of a particular model of carb. That's why you end up usually with parts left over you never use. Of course I don't know everything, and am curious what the deal is.
Some 82' and some 83' Fords came from the factory with the experamental "Variable Venturi" carb. (on 351's). These have no choke valve on top, just 2 square postage-stamp size "barrels", full of some engineers "wet dream"! If it's one of these, junk it and hit the bone-yard for a re-buildable carb!
