hey guys, does anyone know if the cloth matterial used in the 60 model custom cab is being reproduced by someone? or is there a company that deals in old trim that may have new old stock of either trim or covers?, my 60 has a multi colour red/maroon insert surrounded by vinyl. i would like to cover the bench going into my 58 with a similar material combo but green instead.
because we had very few f100's of this era, all were done in vinyl same as the trucks, so trying the few places that carry old trim is hard unless u know of a similar product used in other cars that we got from Canada.

My understanding is that it will be difficult to find original material, or reproduced for that matter. I think the material is called 'Saran', a woven man-made fabric. I'm sure someone will chime in here with more information. I'll be looking at bench material shortly myself.
was this style of insert used only on this year or is it similar throughout the 57 - 60 model?, did'nt 56's have an optional insert along these lines?, what about chev? with such a strong aftermarket support, did they have anything similar?, down here we had mostly 3 and 5 ton trucks with the 1 ton version sold as a ute body that u guys did'nt get.
in a thread the other day, a place in Queens Village called Job Lot Auto carried many old and varied parts that fell outside the norm, would a company like that be a good start? and if so has someone got a phone number on them.
is the material used in this period by ford on the f100's the same material used on compact fairlanes or ranchwagons? and if so would that be another avenue?

Don't know about the material details. JobLot doesn't seem to have a lot of the non-hardware items, but you sure could ask. Their number is 718-468-8585.
