I was wondering if anyone knows how rare it is to have a Cab Over enigine from the 51-53 model years. A friend of mine found the truck on a farm and said that it has dullies in the rears and with a five bolt lug pattern with an inline six, and surface rust. Correct me if i am wroung but the truck is probably a f4-f6 since it has a 5 bolt pattern. He also wants to know if there is any value in this truck and if rebuiling is it worth the time and effort.
There are quite a few of these around lately. You see most being converted to rollback trucks. I've seen a few updated to newer drivelines. Some even get rodded out with fancy paint and wheels. It's a truck you either love or hate the looks of.
its all about personal taste as barry said, personally i think they look great, mainly because they r different, i would like to have one but we did'nt get them down here, only personal imports over the years, so few exist, done right, they look tough and r more practical for carting more than groceries.
