I am selling my truck so I can get something a little more dependable with better gas mileage. One of my friends has an 86' half ton 4x4 with a fuel injected 302. It only has 65,000 miles on it but the body is three colors of primer and both front fenders have been hit by cattle when driving through a field resulting in large dents and the rear fender wells have rusted out(like every other truck of this body style). He will sell it to me for $2000. The interior is in pretty good shape. Do you think it is worth it?
I have an 86' F-150 4x4 XLT for sale too. Mine is in great shape though. The box was repalced so there is not rust on it, but there are 2 or 3 spots that i had to sand prime and paint for rust on the cab(rear cab corner on driver side and driver side wheel well right by door). Mine is in excellent shape besides the repaired rust. It has a 302 efi rebuild in it. It has 180,*** total miles(not sure what the rebuild has). I also put Dual exhaust on it last august and new speakers in the doors. Put a spray on bed liner in too last october. If u aren't too far away(i'm in northern Minnesota), u might wanna come take a look at her. There aren't any dents or scratches....well, there is one spot on the front grill where i got backed into at work. an old guy(like 90) backed into it and broke a 6" piece off the silver part around the lights. I keep wanting to stop at a junk yard and replace that little corner, but i don't have the time. besides that it's great. I'm only askin $2595, although it books for $3250 on the Kelly Blue Book site. I'm asking so little because of our economy up here..one of the largest open pit mines in the U.S. just closed down a few years back, and lots of people are without jobs. I've been told that i'de get $3000 for it easy in Minneapolis, but i can't get it down there...I"m only a senior in high school. I'm selling it to buy a Grand Prix for college next year. I want something with better gas milage and something i can put a stereo system in. But from what u said, it might be worth that. go to: http://www.kbb.com or http://www.nadaguides.com/ and check out what they want. But i'de look it over first and make sure nothin is bent or messed with. The guy i bought mine from had no idea what he was doin and electrical taped everything. I had to go through and fix everything. But not it's in tip top shape!!!! laterz!!
