I have a 1997 F-150 4.2 V6 and I have installed a very basic aftermarket tach. I read in the forum for the 4.2 v6 that I need to connect the green wire from the tach that receives the rpm info from the computer to the white wire with a pink stripe located behind the instrument cluster. I have done this and the light will come on but the needle will not move to show me my rpm's on the tach.

Any comments?
