Post Running Power Wire Through Fire Wall

I am trying to upgrade my stock "system" with a JBL 1200 watt mono amp and 2 Hollywood 600 watt subs. I have already installed a Pioneer Cd player and I have also hooked up the Rem and RCA wires. I just need a way to get the power wire from the cab of my truck (on the passenger side near the fuses under the dash) to the engine compartment. I do want to keep the wire hidden, to keep my ride clean. I need some help to find the easiest and fastest way to run the wire to the battery? It would be a great help if someone has done this before.

Welcome to FTE! What year/model is your truck?

There are usually plenty of holes thru the firewall already just need to look.

(There is a audio/video forum futher down the forums list)

i would suggest looking on your driver side instead. i've always been able to run the power wire through the rubber boot around the steering shaft. all you have to do is cut a small hole(smaller that wire) and pull it through. you might need a friend to help just to make it go a little faster. but if you make the hole small enough it will keep all the moisture out of your truck too. well good luck with the setup.
