Vent windows

Just wanted to past along so info so others wouldn't make the same misstake I did.
Yesterday while putting my vent window back together after installing vent gasket and painting the metal trim around the glass on my vent window; I made a terrible error in trying to force the hinge pen from the window glass to the vent rail. I fought for atleast 30 min trying to align the two screw holes and put to much pressure against the rail. This stupid error cause the hinge pin to break from the glass on my drivers side;
Once I got over my fit; I realize not to tighten the swivel bolt section all the way and turn the glass perpendicular to the railing and then fasten the hinge pin and screws to the railing before tighting the swivel bolt and spring tensior down; My passenger vent window took about 2 min to install; I guess its out to the salavage yard to pull a spare vent window.

Just thought I post this for either your humor or hopefully caution (lesson learned).
