V10 Excursion into V8 Ex

Have the chance to buy a V10 Chassis but the engine has no air intake/radiator or brain(ECU) what would I need to transfer into my V8 Excursion?

Intakes are the same (virtually).

You'll need a radiator...although you should check to see if you can use yours and your'll need an ECU.

That's it! Everything else goes right in!

May I suggest that you throw some headers on it before you drop it in? The V10 really could use them and they are a pain to install once the engine is in. A Port and polish wouldn't hurt either...

Is my ECU no good for the V10 then?. I think the radiators are the same....any ideas on where to get an ECU for the vehicle?, Do you mean port and polish the heads ? to what benefit? if you search the following # at ebay then you will see the donor.
item # 4526240381.
Any comments would be appreciated
Thanks

The v10 is the v8 plus two more cylinder, so other than length specific parts, the engine will obviously drop right in, being a factory option for the Explosion. The radiator ought to be the same. Like Ford can afford to make mulitiple SD platform radiators for what is the same engine family.

Need computer (car-part.com) and engine harness, I believe. Might need to move the mounts up a smidge, too.

Actually, call around to a few parts stores in your area and see if you can have the ECU flashed. You'll need to find a VIN code for a V10 powered truck, the ECUs are the same, just the V10 compy is programmed to monitor two more cylinders.
