1715 or a chip

I am wondering whether to get a chip or the 1715 for my blown 5L Mounty.

I want to play with the transmisson programming and remove the speed limiter.

Because the vehicle is supercharged I am limited to what I can do....

I thought the programmer would be the way to go as I can experiment and see what works best.

I assume that I can just change particular parameters....

With the 1715 you will not be able to change the air/fuel ratio or timing so it's not usable with a blown application. You'll need custom tuning for that so the way to go is with a custom programmed Diablo chip, SCT chip, SCT Microtuner 9100 or SCT Xcalibrator.

Since you want experiment the SCT Microtuner 9100 or SCT Xcalibrator is the way to go (if you wanted a good custom tune but didn't care to modify it the Diablo would be the best bet). You'll need to order the computer cable as well. With this cable and the free software downloadable from from SCT's web site you can take the custom programmed tune and modify it within pre-set limits. Call MotorHaven.com 770-736-7122 and ask for Eric, he'll hook you up.
