Only Hot Air

I cannot regulate the interior tempature of my 1998 Ranger, blower only produces HOT AIR, tempature control dial (blue to red) does not have any effect .

I had the same problem on a 97 Ranger I had a few years ago. It's the blend door. Theres a shaft connected to the motor that turns the blend door and what happened in my case, that shaft broke. The motor still worked, but it's didn't turn the blend door. Cost me $500 at the mechanic because they had to take the whole dash out. The part was only $70.
