Thinking of putting together a bus trip to Dearborn where I intend to find the stupid SOB that invented the concept of the concentric clutch slave cylinder. I intend to flay the skin from his body an inch at a time and shove my old cylinder where the sun don't shine before I drown him in a vat of brake fluid.
May take a while because just having had to replace said mechanism my bank account is seriously depleted so if any of you want to get in on the trip, there's plenty of time. If you're interested, sign in here.
Interesting first post, however...Welcome to Ford Truck Enthusiasts! If you have a minute check out the Guidelines, it will help you to navigate through and understand FTE.
Sorry if I violated any guidelines. I was just venting over the fact that what used to be a relatively simple little procedure that I could accomplish in my own driveway has become a $500 shop job.
You're a little late !!!! That guy was drawn & quartered with 2 Rangers & 2 B-Series Mazdas.
Jusy for the record.... There was no longer a place to install a slave cylinder in him where the sun wouldn't shine `cause he became one (actually 4) big open wound(s).
You can see video footage of this on "Faces of Death-4". I understand it took quite some time to edit out the trucks doing the pulling & replace them with realistic looking horses.
Get the tape & see for yourself.......Buddy got his !!!
