Got A Problem...need Solution.

OK, about two weeks ago I purchased an aem brute force intake for my 04 fx4 f150 5.4l engine and had the performance shop install it. Last week on thurs. I got an engine light on my dash. I have the superchips tuner installed also so I checked with the tuner to check the code and got that it was too lean. So I took it to the dealership cause I was having the "vibration problem" and asked them to check the warning light. The dealership called and said that the intake system is allowing too much air in and the mass air flow sensor is not working properly. Their suggestion was to install the factory intake back on. I was wondering if any of ya'll have had this problem with the aem or other performance intake systems and what ya'll did to take care of the problem. I called aem and they said they haven't heard of that happening alot but said that I could take off the mass air flow system and spray it with electric spray. Then reinstall in and remove the neg. wire from the battery and let it reset. They said that on the lower east coast, due to the humidity, sometimes that might happen. Any suggestions?

Volant is redesigning their intake due to lean conditon problems and AirForce has not released theirs due to similar concerns. Make sure all the connections are tight to make sure there are no vacuum leaks. If it does not fix it, you may want to consider returning the intake.

I've got the Volant installed. I've had one "air/fuel mix" code incident.

I have a device that allows me to turn the check engine light off. I just turned the light off.

I've never heard of too much air ever hurting an engine.
