Question about throttle body......

I have a varying RPM problem, and have been told by many posts on here to take the throttle body off and clean it. Would it work if i just sprayed carb. cleaner into the end of the body, instead of taking the whole throttle body off?? I don't want to replace the gasket. If taking it off works better, I will....but i'de like some input if you guys/gals don't mind...laterz.

The truck is an 86' F-150 4x4. 302efi

Of course you can try it. But you can do a better job by taking it off. You need to take off the idle bypass solenoid too and clean it up.

Question about throttle body......

The EFI's in these trucks suck....do yourse
lf a favor..+..rip it out and carberate the truckkk.....I just did it to my 86 F150....good luck...If you have an AOD....you might want to rip it out too...if you take out the EFI....you have to buy a TV cable kit.....I chose a C4 instead....
