trans or cam
i have 1984 f150 with a 351w c6 trans 350 gear ratio 4x4 the problem is i just installed a stump pulling cam and roller rockers when im driving 55 the motor runs 3300 rpms before it ran arond 2000rpms is that the cam doing this or my tranny going south any help would be apreciated thank you

Changing the cam wont couse your engine to run at a higher rpm. Does it sound like it running at a higher rpm?, Or is that what the tac says? Check to make sure its shifting up to third gear, but it sounds like you might have a problem with the tac. If its electronic, you might have hooked it back up wrong when you put the engine back to gether. Hope this helps a little.
