How High is HIGH?
I am considering a Lightning Supercharger kit for my '01 SuperCrew w/ a 5.4, but I have 89k on the engine. My assumption is that this is to high mileage for that particular upgrade;would a complete rebuild be the answer before adding the kit, or are there some basics to replace?
My next thought is just to buy an '03 Lightning!

It would probably be risky. The guys down at the turbo/supercharger forum have more experience/info, post your question there too. But if the budget allows, keep the SCrew for the family and get the Lighting for yourself!
