Underseat storage

A few months ago I read about molded plastic storage units for underneath the rear seat. I was wondering if anyone had any information about these.

Dear Tough,
Saw one on the Ford site. Looks like a plastic molded thing that was priced at over $100.
Personally, I thought it was way over priced.

Get almost the same thing for about $15 at Sears -- No Kidding. Look for the flat plastic toolbox, it's a perfect fit.

How about an organizer for the center console? I've not seen any parts suppliers out with one made specifically for the '04 F-150; only generic ones available from Walmart, etc. Has anyone seen such an item?

Have you tried to design one yourself? Go to emachineshop dotter com. You can design anything and they will injection-mold it, machine it, bend it, cut it, pretty much make whatever you design. Since it is custom work, an order of quantity is cheaper. Maybe we can come up with something.

I don't have my F150 yet, so if you want to wait on me it will be a few months. But I agree the center console cavern is nice, but kind of wasteful without an organizer.

There is an idea. An FTE storage solution... any ideas what the costs would be?

No, I haven't ordered anything from them. But I've got a couple of things in mind. They have a sample pricelist, and of course bulk orders are much cheaper per item. I'm thinking one would be $150-$200, but 10 would be about $25 each. Quantities of 10 seem to run about 1/8 if the cost of machining just one.

DU-HA seems a bit too proud of their plastic product. $169.95? Knock $100.00 off and it would still be at a price to be contemplated. That would be $191.95 with shipping to my zip. I'll have to wait until the price of plastic lowers and stablizes.
