I recently hit a deer with my 03 F-250 had to replace chrome bumper and many other parts. This all took place about 30 days ago. Upon washing my vehicle this weekend the brand new bumper is rusting already. Contacted ford and everybody says they do not warranty chrome. Any suggestions would be appreciated?????

Chances are you didn't get an original Ford bumper. They probably replaced it with an aftermarket one. Were the repairs done at a Ford dealer?Check the invoice for the part # and compare with the number listed in parts book. This could be fudged by an unscrupulous dealer though. If your in the good hands of "Snake Farm", "Manystate", or "Countrywide" or one of the similar Insurance companies, they are known for doing this.I'd demand an original replacement part.I doubt you only pay them half of their premium so why get short changed.
The bumbers on my '04 with 6400 miles are showing rust. I have hit NOTHING. They better be factory, since they were on it when I drove it off the dealer lot. I am not putting much faith on Fords quality at this point in time. I have not contacted the dealer yet to see what the deal is with them, I just noticed it this weekend when I gave the truck a bath.
On my '02 at 37000 miles had the front bumper, tube side steps and grill warranty replaced due to rust, on my '05 had the grill replaced under warranty for bubbles in the chrome. We are currently watching the front bumper as it has some surface rust and I was told if it continues just bring it back for a new one.
Your dealer should work with you on this or at least the body shop that did the work.
Yeah that does not make any sense they wont stand behind the chrome on a bumper, who the hell wants a 8 week old rusty bumper on a truck, part of the whole idea of a quality truck is one that lasts, now who the heck would buy one if you went around and saw that the bumpers rust in a month, you would stay away from it right?
If you purchasd the bumper with a credit card, put it in dispute. This means that you may have to pull it off of the truck as soon as possible and get something on there that will suffice for now. I would also speak to my insurance agent and/or the adjuster about this. The insurance company paid for the repair and they "should" want it right as well. They should be able to advocate on your behalf. Last thng that dealer body shop wants is to be blacklisted by the insurance company. Do not take no for an answer on this. You should not have a rusty bumper on your truck if you paid for a new FORD bumper and your insurance comapny will agree.
