I have a 95 F-150 5.0, E4OD, 165K. The truck was fine when I started it and then I drove about 50 miles. When I stopped I noticed that I could hear an exhuast leak. When I tried to find the leak I couldn't. The exhuast is newer and NOT rusty at all. The leak sounds like it is coming from the back of the motor/y-pipe area. Is there any emissions related things it could be? I am not getting a CEL. Suggestions? TIA!
My Father talked to a Ford tech (this guy actually knows what is what) and he suggested to check the compents on the crossover tube which runs along the back of the engine. Excatly where the sound is coming from. I'll check the manifolds and y-pipe too. Thanks.
