Chrome and bodytrim
G'day Guys, Just a query from an FTE on the other side of the pond. Is it possible to buy complete body trim and chrome strip kits for 73-79s in the US or Canada. In australi there is only two trim levels(Custom and XLT) and only the XLT has chrome trimming. It would be about the same as the Ranger XLT I believe. If these kits are available could someone please post a number or website for the company(ies) that supply them so that I can contact them about importing some in to oz. Thanks in adavance.

There are two styles of chrome trim.
There is the body groove trim with rubber insert (the racetrack chrome trim can be added as well)
Then there is the lower body chrome trim which runs along the (rocker panel) bottom of the fender,door & bed.
I don't know of any NEW product supplier but, there are some people that go to wrecking yards for Mint condition used stuff.

If you don't have any luck with any of the site's sponsors, you might try www.macsautoparts.com. They'd probably send you a paper catalog for a few $US. It seems like they have access to either old new stock or reproductions.

Thanks for that guys, I checked out the Macs website but they have no photos of anything for 73-79 it seems, I thought they also might have done a complete kit for people who want to go all out, anyway they are an option as they seem to have most if not all the gear I need.
