Carter AFB linkage
Has anyone had any problems with the throttle and kickdown linkage? I just put a new Carter AFB 9637 on my bronco (351W and C6) and it is very sluggish after getting up to 55-60 mph. I think one of the problems is that the kickdown arm and throttle cable are not working as smoothly as they should. There is very little clearance and maybe even a little rubbing as the pedal is pushed down. (Even though this model supposedly has the Ford-friendly linkage). I am going to try a new linkage (EDL1483) that I have heard might help. Everything seems good until you get the truck up to speed and under load, that is where she becomes completely gutless.
