Haven't been on here in awhile. Had a problem with my fuel level indication the other day when I filled up. It took pretty much all day to register full, and that was with a few start & stops on the ignition.
I've had that problem too, took most day to register full. It has done it twice to me so far since i had my truck. No big deal to me since it doesnt happen all the time.
No big deal to me except that this truck is under warranty and I want it fixed before the problem becomes one of those I just overlook and get use to and next thing you know the gauge is out completely and my warranty has expired.
Did you leave the key in the ignition while filling up? Even with the engine not running, as long as the key remains in the ignition, it's chip is still talking to the truck. Somehow, this will cause the fuel level to hang up.
I have had this happen to me twice also. Keys in my pocket. I talked to the dealer and they want to check the fuel tank sender. The problem affected both the regular guage and message center (miles to empty) on a Lariat. I am waiting till I have more things to take it in for.

Gotta love computerized trucks!
You are exactly right. I had this happen to me when I first got the truck. I called the dealer all ****ed off and he said. "Did you have the key on while it was filling?" I felt pretty foolish. Never had a problem since then.
