Tranny Parts
Here's one for the record books, it might save someone some anxeity.
I Was changing the fluid and filter in my 85 F250,Auto C6.While I was at it I added A shift kit but thats beside the point. When I dropped the pan I found a white plastic part in the fluid. This thing looks like a ball 5/8" dia. with an 1/8th in stem about 1 1/4in.long. I could'nt figure out where it could have come from, man don't you hate having parts left over.I put it all back together and it worked fine.
I took the part to a Ford garage and it turns out that this part is used in the original assembly. It was used to insert the dip stick tube into the tran and when the dipstick is inserted it's pushed into the pan. To bounce around until it can and drive some amateur mechanic crazy.
