Changing transfer and tranny
Am putting in new transfer case and transmission and have to move the transfer case mounting bracket forward. Will the drive lines make up the 3 inch differance, being the back one longer and the front one shorter?

In a word no. I did the opposite and had to move mine back 3 inches. I had to have the rear driveline shortened and add some to the front. I am going to guess that you are removing an automatic and instaling a fourspeed .

I am putting an automatic c6 in. There was an automatic in already but the tranny had a longer shaft. I think the old one came out of a car, the drive line is to short. Am checking my other 79 to see if it will fit. I like to say that this site is a great thing. Sure is nice to have a way to find out the info that is needed as I live 60 miles to the nearest town.
