Introduction

Hello guys, I have made many friends on FTE, and have learned a GREAT many things.....

I am about to become a part of your forum, and wanted to introduce myself, My wife and I just purchased Edwardldog's 62 F110 4x4

Looking into doing some reading in here and learning about our new truck, and Im sure the posting will come soon enough

Nice to meet you all.

I see your no stranger to FTE, But welcome to 61'-66' truckland and hope you come to love your "slick" as much as we do. Do you have a pic? These tucks seem to grow on ya! Welcome and Congratulations on your new addition.

Welcome aboard. For the record you have a F100 4x4. On the vin a 2wd is listed F10 & the 4wd F11, same with the 3/4 ton F25 & F26. It was Fords way to keep them seperate, but for the pickups Ford only made F100s, F250s, & F350s.

Well see, its amazing what Im learning without even asking...thanks all.

Just out of curiosity, how rare is 4 wheel drive in one of these trucks?

Not sure about the numbers but this is not a common truck. The nicest Uni I have seen in recent years was sitting on a late model (79 I think) 4x4 frame. This looked to be a really uncomplicated upgrade to a modern chassis/steering/powertrain. This truck looked completly stock but it ran and drove like a new truck. I think if I ever do a Uni it will be on a 4x4 frame
