check engine light

Well my check engine light came on last night so headed down to Auotzone and had them read the code it came up as P1131 Fuel error any ideas? My gas cap dont twist on but just sits on, is this the problem? It is a 98EB,5.4 with 70,000 miles it seams to run alright. Any advise

It may very well be. If your gas cap doesn't lock in place, it's screwing up the vacuum functionality within the fuel system.

Passenger side upstream O2 sensor is likely worn out. P1151 is usually the opposite side.

Not a gas cap issue. Surprised you didn't get a P0455 code from that if the cap didn't seal.
