302 to 351
I've got a 90 f-150 with a 302 and a 4-speed with granny low. I was wondering if there was a lot to do if I wanted to put a 351 in it. I was also thinking about puttting a five speed behind it to make it run down the hiway a little better.

ARe you still wanting fuel injection. If so you need the computer from the donor and maybe the wiring harness. Someone will post it if you do. If your going with a carb it's pretty simple. Just get everything from the donor you need. You can use the mechanical fuel pump and then disable the electric fuel pump(pull the fuse). You may need the other trans' crossmember. I have not done this but both engines and trans come out in these trucks so it should be that hard.

this is a great swap and pretty easy to boot. what you need is a complete of a 5.8 as you can get. this will help big time. your 302 harness will work on the 5.8 just fine and for an ecu just get one that went to a 351/C6 . a zf 5speed would be the best tranny option and would be found out of f250's with same motor combo. let me know if you have further questions about the swap
