I tried they guy from Moonlighting, Archie Bunker, Prof. Farnsworth from Futurama, Bailey Quarters from WKRP in Cincinnati and Alf from Alf. It got all of them!!!
Congratulations, you stumped me! It certainly seemed that you were Georgina Verbaan from Holland, but if you say you weren't, I guess I have to believe you. Not that I'm happy about it. In fact, you've ruined my whole day. But I'll get you next time!
In the meanwhile, if you tell me who you were and help me out with a good yes/no question, I'll be able to guess it right next time. Please, try to think of a good general question that can be answered "yes" for lots of characters, not just the one that you were thinking of. And if you can't think of a good question, don't worry about it, just go and play a new game.

I was Norm From Cheers.
Well Now we've discovered just how smart the computer was
i tried john redcorn and it was right it also got xander from buffy and comicbook guy from simpsons, dennis the menece and wilson wilson from home improvement he got them all.
I thought I'd be unique and try Potsy from Happy Days. It got me and said I was number 26 to try that character. It also got Coach from Cheers- only the sixth to try that one. That thing is pretty fun.
This program asks at the end if it is stumped, how to identify the person. Once it has that info it plugs it into the database which makes it harder to stump next time.
This is pretty much similar to an old computer game like Chomp, where a question is placed and based upon yes no answers, each answer cuts down the possible results by half. After enough questions are answered yes no, you eventually get to the right solution.
With a large enough database this kind of "fortune telling" is easy.
I was surprised that Sulla stumped the computer since he is fairly famous while Ahaseurus, a Persian king(book of Ester) is not as commonly known but was in the database.
Oh well it was fun for a bit. Maybe I'll try to look up some obscure oriental despot, ooops, looks like Suleyman the Magnificent of the Ottoman Empire stumped the computer. I knew my minor in Ottoman Turkish History would come in handy some day.
