EProms or Junior Proms?
Does anyone know if our Big Bronco's (mine is a 96 EBE) have eproms (Chips)? I know Chevy puts a lot of fixes in the eproms which get changed as part of a regular tune up. Does Ford do the same? and would my 96 have one?

Ford PCMs (Powertrain Control Module) are not designed to be serviceable in the way you describe. There are aftermarket performance chips (actually modules) that piggyback on the computer via an access port on the side of the computer. The more popular choice now days with the 96 & up OBD II equipped rigs is to use a flash programmer like the Superchips 1715. These are strictly performance upgrades designed to modify the computers program to get the most performance possible.
Regularly replacing an eprom as part of routine service is not an option on the Ford PCMs (or on any other 96 & up OBD II)
