04 wiring diagram
Has anyone got a wiring diagram for a 2004 SD 6.0 L I need to know why the orange positive wire to the 7 pin connector appears to be fed by 2 lighter gauge wires from the plug under the hood. This plug has 2 wires that are live when the ignition is on they would appear to be 16 gauge at the black plug that is against the inner fender below the left hood hinge, at the rear bumper there is one 14 or 12 gauge going into the plug. Would Ford use 2 pins on the plug to handle the 30 amp trailer battery charge circuit and then combine the wires into one heavier wire some where in the harness heading to the back, the plug pins are very small and likly not handle the 30 amp. load. Before I splice the 2 wires into my trailer cable for a second 7 pin plug in the box I would like to know the overall picture, found all the other required wires at this plug and the gray one beside it so I can make the connections up under the hood to help reduce corrosion.
