Clutch Interlock
Intermittently my 1988 Ranger, manual transmission will not start when the key is turned. If I put 12 volts directly to the starter relay the truck will start. Is there an easy way to temporarily bypass the clutch interlock switch for testing purposes?Thanks

If it's setup like my 85 Ranger, there's a connector on the switch above the pedal. There are only two leads in. You can disconnect the connector (it's female) and jumper the two sockets together, which bypasses the switch. I used a small piece of sheet metal, but a heavy guage jumper wire would work just as well temporarily.
