Pump Timing
Just finished installing the ATS turbo upgrade. Not bad to install. Had to modify the bracket that holds the downpipe in. I have a pic of the old and new housings in a gallery named tubo upgrade if anyone hasn't seen it.
My question is any advantage to setting the pump timing ahead? Will be using to pull a 9000 lb trailer on a weekly basis. Turned the pump up a couple flats and the EGT is about 600 on the throttle running empty. Thanks

what year truck do you have and is it factory turbo or aftermarket ? ATS stated the pump should not be advanced any more than the width of the timing indicator strike mark on the flange of the pump. A small distance on the pump flange is quite a bit of timing. Advancing the fuel a couple flats will give you quite a bit of fuel too. Keep an eye on the pyrometer when you hook up and go up hill.
