Well I dunno about the rest of it, but for your subs your probably going to want a 200-400watt RMS Class D Mono subwoofer amp. Then you can bridge it to power both your subs. I would think that would be more than enough. Then just run the rest of your speakers off the juice the head unit provides.
But yes, I could get a Class D Mono subwoofer amp. I would go with Fosgate amp myself since your subs are as they are some really REALLY good amps but their are other brands out their too.
I would get a single channel digital amp from apline if i were you and run it parallel...probably 500w...your component speakers i wouldn't amplify them if i were you more work and they should sound fine if your deck has crossover capability..
If you want to run every thing on one amp Memphis audio makes a amp that they call the Memphis Belle. It is a 5 channel amp that have 4 lower wattage channels and one sub channel. They are a good amp. I was thinking about getting one.
look for a Punch P3001..plenty of power. Run an 8 ga. wire kit and you good to go. Thats the amp i would go with. That amp runs around $150...let me know if you have any other questions...ive been doing this stuff for years..
I would go with a 5 channel Rockford Fosgate amp too. It is a simplier installation than two separate amps and their amps use MOSFET output stages that give bass a good kick (especially with their Punch equalization circuitry). However, you typically won't get as much power to the subs this way as you would with a dedicated sub amp. Just depends on how much bass is 'necessary'.
Fosgate is good, but PPI or ADS is better. Check out the specs. Both brands are way under rated, and seem to put out more then what they're rated at.
I can vouch for this, at least as far as PPI is concerned. For the life of me, I don't know why they under-advertise their specs so much, but their stuff is clean and strong. EXCELLENT value for the money.
I would say that it's a very subjective issue - I've worked with Rockford Fosgate and PPI amps both and found I prefer the Fosgate amps. That isn't to say PPI doesn't make on heck of an amplifier - both companies have pretty conservative ratings and great sounding units - it's just a matter of preference.
I have the old school Ax606.2 Art Series PPI amp in my truck (pics in gallery). I think it's gotta be about 7 or 8 years old by now. With one JL 10 in my truck, I can close the doors and watch the glass shakin'... I love that amp, works great and has been reliable as hell in this desert heat! I'm gonna go with the majority, Fosgate and PPI are very clean amps.
those subs handle 50-150 watts RMS and peak power handling is 300 watts. they look really nice two. at crutchfield.com you can get 2 for a hundred bucks.
I'd get the Xplod Sony XM-2100GTX 500 watt amp for about 130 bucks. its got bass boost and a low crossover network. It should power them 10's pretty good.
i have a 2002 f150 ex cab and i am adding 4 pioneer 6x8 4 ways and i have 2 12" punch stage one subs. i am amping the pioneers with the RF punch p4004 amp and the subs with a RF p3002 amp. the p3002 will be good for your subs. buy them off ebay, good deals on new stuff there.
