Question eratic throttle

Hi everyone. I have a 1986 Ford Ranger with a 2.9 V-6. When I rev the motor to 1,200-1,500 rpm's, it revs up and down. It only does it in this rpm range. I have put a new mapp sensor on, a new throttle position sensor, 2 new oxygen sensors, and a new egr valve. A mechanic told me that the o2 sensor wasn't reading right so I replaced it again. That is why I say that 2 new sensors have been installed. It didn't help. So I took it to somebody else who put it on the computer and it came up saying the egr valve, so I replaced that. Still no luck. However, when I un-hook the throttle position sensor, it runs smooth. As soon as I hook it back up, it starts surging again, even at an idle now. I am at a complete loss. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The TPS may need to be adjusted. if your are still getting an egr code, you might look into the EGR position sensor.

also check the vacuum and IAC Valve
