issues with truck
my truck has been acting up for the last 10,000 miles. i have changed anything and everything possible and still cant figure it out. the problems are 1. the truck is a 7.3 power stroke, when im driving i can put it in neutral and it wants to and sometimes dies and then turns right back on. 2.after 3000 miles or so the truck wont turn on unless you change the oil and pull-start to get back on. I changed the the Camshaft Position Sensor, a while back, but I did not have any instructions to follow, what happens if I did not change it the way the instructions state it should be done? Could I have damaged the sensor if just pulled out the old and replaced it with the new without removing the fuse?

Check your batteries for proper charge and water levels. Have them load tested also. Check your charging system as well. My truck gave me fits until I replaced the starter and that's when I realized the old starter was about 200 RPM slower than the new one. Huge difference now.
