Yep, I grabed the fire extinguisher soon there after and put the paper towel out that I had set on fire when I was welding. Boy that was a close one as I was thinking what the h*ll is burning.
I'm sure I remember somebody posting some pics of their truck at a local race track on a day when no races were being held. May have been over a year ago. If I remember correctly, they had a set of rear tires they didn't want, so they just did some burnouts and/or doughnuts to "turn them down" to the steel belts. I can remember one picture of the truck with a huge cloud of smoke around it, and a bunch of black marks on the pavement. I just can't seem to remember who it was or find the post using the thread search engine.
Thank you for your restraint. The mass demoralization that might well result from some of our members seeing your truck's awsome display could be devastating.
I want to see photos of Nilon's 460 layin down a patch. I might be retired by then, though. And besides, he probably will change the motor twice before his truck is done, if the IFS is any indication.
I think I'll put 40 pounds of air in my rear tires and try my own luck. Film at eleven...

RJ, either that or they'll start making fun of me again. My 302 will turn tire pretty good. I can't imagine how much fun it would be with something with some real torque. It's got to be stupid with a big block.
