Direct deposit, work a part time job, so what is the point of having to drive there to pick up my check if I need the money before the next time I work. I love when tuesdays roll around, although, they need to be bigger numbers there.
I get direct deposit. Much easier now. Before, the cheque came on the 8th or 23rd. If I wasn't working, I either went and got it, or waited a day. Sometimes, I'd get to work (on my day off) before the cheque did, so I'd stand around for an hour waiting for it. We all got the same deal, so finally, we banded together and demanded direct deposit.
Now, if the 8th or 23rd are on a weekend, I get paid Thursday/Friday midnight.
My financial service makes a direct deposit each month and my Social Security check is direct deposit also. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the 3.3 people out there that are paying for my SS.
Dono
I get paid by direct deposit.
The last jod I worked at where I was paid by check was about 4 years ago in the HVAC business, I always worked alot of overtime and at the end of the day the bank was already closed. Through teh summers i was usually working on Saturdays as well so I couldn't run and deposit my check till the next week. Well come next week I'd have forgotten about it and had it in the glovebox and that week woudl be the same story. One day I got my check with a note saying "please deposit or cash paychecks from dates xx/xx/xx, xx/xx/xx and so on. I looked in my glovebox and the last 4 paychecks I had never put in the bank. When I went and deposited them all at once the balance wnet up big time, but i had not really depleted the amount from before. I had been working so much and at the time had no truck payment so I wasn't really spending any money at all. It made for a real nice trip later that fall.
