I didn't go to the ebay listing to check it out, but a 'mini-spool' goes in the stock open diff case and replaces the spider gears. It eliminates all differential action and solidly locks both axleshafts togther, as if they were one continuous axleshaft from one wheel to the other.
A spool isn't something you will want to put in a truck you drive on the street alot, but if you're mud bogging or drag racing, it will work great.
Before you bid on it, make sure it has the same number of splines as your axleshafts, since some axles come with different axle spline counts depending on application.
