transmission got hot

transmission got REALLY hot

<HR style="COLOR: #666666" SIZE=1>I have a 2000 7.3L psd and...

I was driving up hill in about 6 inches of snow hubs locked 4 high about 20-30 mph and my trans temp gauge went really high and it spit up a little juice. It eventually cooled down and I dont seem to have any residual problems now.
Does anyone have any idea what caused this, what I can do to prevent it from happening again?

not letting the thing lug should keep the fluid moving enough to keep it cool. Your PSD can pull fine just barely turning but an auto needs to be moving as med/heavy torque is applied.
