injector surge
i have a 02 350 7.3 70,000 miles if it is cold in the morning say around 30 degrees or if i let the truck set for 3 or 4 days it will also happen even up into the 40s , when i crank the truck it will surge like it is trying to die. rev to 600 rpms then fall almost to stopped then surge back up this happens 4 to 8 times then clears out , also smoking blue like the normal farm tractor cold crank up deisel smoke that will burn your eyes out with diesel fumes. i added lucas oil treatment the last few oil changes i was wondering if the thickness of this treatment would have some thing to do with the problem since the injectors operate by oil pressure, the reason i added lucas was as i have read that people have had the same problem was that under a hard pull or running the hell out of it i have an ear piercing squell i think it is from the turbo bearings but the truck has done this since 12, 000 miles, after the lucas it never done it again.
