Just bought my first PSD!

Everybody congradulate me, I just bought my first PSD!! I found a 2000 XLT 4x4 super cab with 86k miles for under $20,000. I couldn't pass it up. Now that I have it, I need to ask a couple of questions. The truck is only going to be used on the weekends and I wanted to know if there's anything I need to do with it only being driven that often??? If you bought this, what would be the first things you would do? Change out all the fluids or buy certain filters, etc??? I live in central Arkansas, so very rarely does the temperature stay below freezing for days on end.

Thanks for any advice and for the forum, I plan to be a member here for a long time coming.

Congrats on the new truck, you'll love it. It should be fine setting all week, just lets it idle for a minute before taking off. I put a different air filter on mine, I went with the napa 6637 filter, if intrested just do a search in the 7.3l section, it has been posted before. I plan to put a 4" exhaust on it next.

Congratulations on the new truck! Mine sometimes takes a week (sometimes more) off and I have no problems at all with it. If I am out of town for more than 2 weeks, I have the wife start it and let it run a few minutes. She is still afraid to drive it though! Ha!
