Hi Gang,
I have a question about mounting the MSD ignition box. It is a 6A and I have no idea as to where to put it. I could mount it where the old ignition is but, it doesn't seem sturdy enough. Should I mount it on a plate first then to the fender well? Or should I mount it next to the battery. What about electric interference, or the hood shutting right? Can I mount it above the air cleaner on the firewall? Will heat affect this thing greatly? Any ideas, thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jeff

I mounted mine on the wheel well. Worked good, never got in the way. I don't think the engine heat will be enought to affect it. The heat would most likely need to be able to melt the solder off of the chip. that's a lot of heat.
I mounted mine on a plate that has about a 65 degree bend in it and then mounted that to the firewall beside the heater box. Works really well. There is a pic of it in my gallery, althought I need to take some better pics.
