I'm a newbie to this forum; I've posted sporadically to the forum for my truck '67 to '72. I have a '69 Ranger CS. The P.O. had the engine replaced in '73 from a 390 to a 460. What carb would I have, assuming everything is factory OEM as claimed? I know there is a tag with info on it but where do I look? When did the 460 become available for these trucks? Thanks for the help.

I believe that 73 was the first year for the 460 in a truck. There should be a tag on one of the top screws in the carb. Post the tag numbers/letters and we will try to decifer it for you.

Probably a Holley manufactured for Motorcraft either a 4160 or 4180. Like was previously posted, get the carb tag number and we should be able to help.
