2001 LTD Subwoofer
Hello again,
I just replaced the stock subwoofer with an exact replacement (I had ruined the other one trying to get it out, and the wires weren't connected). Well, I was able to re-install the sub and connect the wires and the sub still doesn't work???? What is wrong??? I am almost 100% nobody has messed with this???? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Metausr

If you have an after market stereo in your truck the factory amp/subwoofer wont work. Also, my brother has an 01 limited and is trying to figure out how to get the subwoofer out. Can you give any advice? He said all the screws are out and the wires are unplugged but there is something still holding it in.

My problem with the sub/amp NOT working was... I had a different deck in it, than what came in it from Ford. I had the Premium Sound deck (sans the RDS option, which is the MACH 460 Audio). I needed the MACH 460 deck...My ESP picked the tab up and I'm ROCKING...
In order to get the sub out, hes going to have to take the trim panel off, TRUST ME... I ruined a sub trying to pry it out... only to find out a bolt goes in the back of the sub and fastens to the enclosure.. SO, thats whats 'holding' the sub in......
