how hard is it to put a 390 motor into a 86 f-150 that had a 300 in it

The easiest way is to find a '76 or older F150 that has a 369/390 in it. Your goning to need the motor mount perches, tranny, drive shaft and maybe the rear end for starters.

Have fun, good project if you got the time.

only hard part will be finding a rear sump pan for an f e block. perches are the same six to f e block. what tranny do you have?

80-up never came with an FE engine, so I bet there will be lots of issues and engineering involved.
