I have decided to rebuild the carburator and have questions.
1. Where is the best place to get a rebuild kit for a two barrell carburator?
2. Plan to take it off the vehicle and submerge the body in a liquid to eat up the gas lacquor (sp) that has accumulated over the years. I have heard of CLR and Barriman used over the years. I am sure there are others. Which is the best one to use.
a good auto parts store will have all yuo need ask for carb dip it comes in 1 and 5 gallon buckets the 1 gallon is all you should need costs about 35 dollars though maybe about 4 cans of carb spray and compressed air or air in a can(electricail stores sell this) is a better route for you get the kit at a napa or good jobber in your area be sure to check your throttle shaft for looseness is this carb on a 300 six? if it is and is stock it's a 1 bbl and you still have to check the throttle shaft for vacum leaks the are terrible for this problem
