Ground Force Lowering Kit

I would like to hear from anyone that has the Ground Force 2-5 lowering kit on their truck. I had just about made up my mind to use this kit, and talked with someone at Ground Force who said that vibration issues will be magnified after installing this kit. Just wondering if anyone using the kit has had vibration problems after installing it? I don't want to ruin the ride of the truck, but I don't know how much longer I can stand the stock ride height!

zims-pad i'e had my 2-5 ground force kit installed for awhile now. I'e got no shimmy at all in the truck. The rides a bit firmer but not bad.The truck sure looks alot better with the back end down. The kit went in in about 5 hours then I took it back to the dealer to have the front end and rear end checked and set-up. Next one I do i'm going to look into air ride from air tech. Hope this helps. Dennis, thanks for the info. Did you compress the coils yourself, and how difficult was it. Also did you have any trouble with not being able to remove the front drivers side leaf spring bolt, or can the leaf spring be moved without removing it? Finally what size tires and wheels are you running with what offset? Thanks, Mike

The Ground Force is a great kit. I had my installed when the Truck was new and 9 months later no problems at all. I sell Ford so I drive stock Trucks all the time and we I jump in mine to drive home I feel no difference, very close to a stock ride. Do it and you'll be happy. Get rid of all that wheel gap. Ray.

zims-pad I used a belt style spring compressor on the front. This made the change fairly easy and didn't scratch up the new springs. On the back end I loosend up the gas tank and pushed it over to get the spring bolt out. I'm still running stock wheels and tires on this truck until I find 20 in. wheels I like. I have a 02 F 150 that i put a 2-4 ground force kit in with 20 in. Ronal TR20 wheels and Falken tires. That truck also handles and rides nicely. My wife has a 03 Lightning and I think i,m going to put a air ride kit in it to bring it down. Dennis Massey
