Talking wow predator lol

I was very happy merely cruising at 65hp mode, the rest of the truck stock.
No one touched me since i installed the predator, until saturday night that is.
Pulled along side a new bmw 530I, didn't think much of it, didn't even think of spooling up the turbo, light turned green and we both go, next thing I know we're side by side doing 80, I'm keepping up with him or he's keeping up with me. my lane is ending so I back off, as I do that, I wonder what 100 hp mode would have been like. So sunday I reprogram the truck to 100hp, and now I don't want to go back, I guess I'll be shopping for new exhaust and gauges, this thing is unbelieveable.
What is the most cost effective way to get the exhaust and gauges done?

Don't bring up cost effective and the 100 hp mode in the same post...
that 100hp mode ATE up my fuel...
well, all right - I ate it up cuz I kept pushing the pedal too much !!!! That black comin out your exhaust is partially burnt FUEL !

so I satisfy myself with the 65hp mode

yeah I hear that, believe it or not, I don't have to puch the pedal that hard anymore, this flies with barely touching the throtle, and it looks that I gained some mpg's, according to the lie o meter I gained three mg's, but I'll know for sure next time I fill up.

Hitting the pedal hard is going to be hard to resist after I do the exhaust and gauges.
Also if you can guide me towards the right set up, so I don't fry my truck.
Thanks in advance

I find it a little hard to believe a truck that is about 7000 lbs can keep up with something like that.

I sure like to take my dad's Nissan Maxima (V6) and try out some 100hp boost 6.0 or 7.3.

I think you guys have exagerrated this thing a little.

A month a go I was smoked by a 6.0 or 7.3 diesel at the stop light. I wasn't expecting it so I lost about 1 second at the start already. I was driving my wife's 98 accord 4 cylinder that has 130,000 miles and the timing was retarded by about 1 degree.
All I can say is that the truck didn't beat me by much. There was a merge so I had to back down.

I just find it hard to believe that's all.
I have no problem being wrong.

Check the timeslips link at the top of the page.

I turned a 14.33 s 1/4 mile at 93 MPH. Stock was 16.0 s.

There are faster cars out there but there are certainly some that are slower.

Do you know if the truck was chipped or had a fuel box?
Mine ran very well stock, reasonably competitive with most showroom stock cars. I put the Edge in and literally embarassed many cars, camaro's, mustang's the like. Not hotrodded cars just stock ones. The speed limiter was the only drawback. Performance gains are pretty inexpensive (though transmissions are not!) in these trucks.

Besides being able to literally roast the tires at a light with no powerbraking whatsoever (on level 5/extreme mode of the Edge), going 50-60 mph on the freeway in the rain you could light it up and get a great drift going with NO Problem! Very fun if no traffic is around. Cya

One of my good friends has a highly modified 03 Dodge 2500 Cummins 6 spd....100 hp injectors, TST box, bigger charger, and straight exhaust through twin 5 inch stacks. A month or so ago, this guy shows up in town with an 04 F250 6 liter. 6 spd, straigt piped thru a single stack, and a predator.

The Ford smoked him!! (not that I had any doubt) I have seen quite afew street races and although i cant be certain, as fast as that ford was scootin' there arent too many stock cars that could have kept up....just MHO

There are MANY cars that would LOVE a sub 2 second 60 foot time that our "tuned" beast can easily surpass.... even on All-terrain street tires !

and my Excursion drew a LOT of attention at the drags Choctaw Bob and I went to... when I gave a TOWED to the drags dragster with a big blower on a small block and drag slicks a run for his money...

especially when he had to work HARD to come from behind to clip me at the 1/8th mile...

Don't know if he had a problem or not, cuz he was behind me most of the way

Thumbs up

West I was with you until yesterday when I installed the 65 HP tune on my 05 350 6.0 I figured it may help some but cant be any great shakes, "WRONG" it is an amazing difference, not sure the trans will take it as seems to be some flaws in the new trans already. I would suggest getting one from MotorHaven with keeping in mind if you dont like it after 30 days ship it back for full refund.Thats a tough deal to beat just my .02 cents.

My truck weighs 8300lbs, as for keeping up with the 530I, I was very surprised myself, and the other driver might have been keeping up as well, don't know if the other driver was pushing it all the way

I have driven quite a few beemers and I know what they can do. I drove on differant occasions 02 540I with six speed manual and sport suspension, that thing was amazing , It will get to 120 mph in only 4th gear without redlining.

Okay....I stand corrected. Great....
Now, I just need to go find me a good used 7.3 somewhere.....
I just sold my 168k miles 7.3 three weeks ago and I'm missing it already...

I'm staying away from the 6.0 until this site can show me that Ford has corrected all the major issues with the 6.0.

$45k is ALOT OF MONEY waste.
